Delete your Somewhere Safe account

Delete in the app

Sign in to Somewhere Safe, open Settings > Account > Delete Account, type DELETE, and confirm. You do not need to contact support. This action is permanent.

Delete selected data and keep your account

Open an item, container, reminder or custom location in the app and choose its delete action. This removes the selected record from your current inventory. Earlier cloud restore points can retain an earlier copy until they expire; the service keeps the ten most recent restore points. To request help deleting selected stored data while keeping your account, email administrator@somewheresafe.co from your registered account email and identify the records to remove. Never send your password.

Request deletion without the app

Email administrator@somewheresafe.co from the email address registered to your Somewhere Safe account, with the subject Somewhere Safe account deletion. Somewhere Safe, LLC may verify ownership before processing the request. Never send your password.

Data removed

Deletion removes your account and authentication records, inventory items and photos, containers, locations, custom tags, reminders, notification preferences and cloud restore points. Shared preset tags and templates remain because they are not personal account data. Copies you previously exported or shared remain in their destination.
